Accessing the Function Menu
Provides access to the features described in this reference guide.
1: Press the Function/Select Button.
2: Press the left and right arrow buttons to move within the function menu.
3: Press the Function/Select Button again to select an option.
Turning Your Pager On
1: Press the Read/Power On Button.
Turning Your Pager Off
1: Press the Function/Select button.
2: Press the left arrow button to move the cursor to TURN PAGER OFF
3: Press the Function/Select button twice to turn the pager off.
Receiving and Reading Messages
When a message is received, your pager alerts and displays a flashing
triangle symbol. A flashing bull’s eye in the top left
corner of the standby screen alerts you that you have new, unread
messages.
1: Press any button to stop the alert.
2: Press the Read/Power On button to display your message.
Backlighting
The pager’s backlighting illuminates in low-light conditions
when any button is pressed. You can manually activate or
deactivate the backlight at any time by pressing and holding the
Function/Select button for 2 seconds. If no other buttons
are pressed, the backlight automatically turns off when the pager
returns to the standby screen.
Setting the Time and Date
1: Press the Function/Select button to display the function
menu.
2: Press the left arrow button to move the cursor to SET
TIME AND ALARM.
3: Press the Function/Select button to display the set-time
screen.
4: Press the right arrow button to move the cursor to the
hour digit.
5: Press the up or down arrow buttons to adjust the hour.
6: Press the right arrow button to move the cursor to the
minute digit.
7: Press the up or down arrow buttons to adjust the minute.
8: Repeat the process for each set of digits: AM/PM/24 hr.,
month/day/year.
9: Press the Function/Select button to activate the time
and date change.
Setting the Alert Mode
The alert can be set as either audible or silent.
1: Press the Function/Select button to display the function
menu.
2: Press the left arrow to move the cursor to the speaker
icon. (A speaker is displayed if the pager is in the silent alert
mode, prompting you to enter the audible mode if desired; a speaker
with a slash through it is displayed if the pager is in audible
alert mode, prompting you to enter the silent mode if desired.)
3: Press the Function/Select button to select the desired
alert mode. If the selected mode is audible, your pager emits
a short chip; if silent, your pager vibrates.
Setting the Alert Pattern
NOTE: Your pager must be in the audible
alert mode to select the alert pattern.
Your pager has a standard alert (1), seven different “pleasing” alerts
(2 – 8), and a chirping alert (the music note). You
can also select no alert (speaker with a slash through it).
1: Press the Function/Select button to display the function
menu.
2: Press the left arrow button to move the cursor to the music

3: Press the left or right arrow buttons to move the cursor to the desired
alert. The pager gives a sample of each alert when scrolling through the
selections.
4: Press the Function/Select button to activate the alert.
Deleting Messages
You can delete a message from memory while you are viewing the message
or through the function menu.
To delete individual messages:
1: Press the left or right arrow buttons to select the message
you want to delete from memory.
2: Press the Function/Select button to display the function
menu.
3: Press the right arrow button to move the cursor to DELETE
MESSAGE.
4: Press the Function/Select button to receive confirmation
of the request.
5: Press the Function/Select button to delete the message.
To delete all messages from memory:
1: Press the Function/Select button to display the function
menu.
2: Press the right arrow button to move the cursor to DELETE
ALL MESSAGES.
3: Press the Function/Select button twice to delete all unlocked,
un-alarmed, and read messages.
Display Zoom
When this feature is enabled, the standard
4-line display is converted to a 2-line display.
The characters are enlarged vertically, increasing
message readability.
To enable or disable display zoom:
1: Press the Function/Select
button to display the function menu.
2: Press the left or
right arrow button to move the cursor to ZOOM IN (or ZOOM OUT).
3: Press the Function/Select
button to confirm.
Private Time
You can select a time period during which
your pager is completely silent. Your pager
still receives messages but it does not alert.
NOTE: If the on time is equal
to the off time, private time is not enabled.
To set Private Time:
1: Press the Function/Select
button to display the function menu.
2: Press the left or
right arrow button to move the cursor to SET PRIVATE TIME.
3: Press the Function/Select
button to select and adjust the time on and off as
needed.
4: Press the Function/Select
button to activate your selection.
Battery Gauge
The battery gauge indicator is located on the status screen and
keeps you informed of the battery energy level. The five indicators
range from full to low.
Battery Information
Your pager is designed to operate with a single AA-size alkaline
battery. To install or replace the battery, place the pager
face down and proceed as follows:
1: Unlock the battery door by sliding the door latch away from
the battery door.
2: Slide the battery door in the direction of the arrow (toward
the outer edge).
3: Lift the battery door away from the housing to remove it. Lift
the battery out of the battery compartment, taking note of the positive
(+) and negative (-) markings on the battery and the pager housing.
CAUTION: When inserting a new battery, be careful not
to insert it backwards, as doing this will erase ALL messages stored or locked
in memory.
