| TURNING PAGER ON
Press and release the button. Dashes (-----------) indicate the
pager is on and ready to receive messages.
TURNING PAGER OFF
Hold button down until the word "OFF?" appears, then
release the button.
NOTE: Messages that have been read are automatically erased when
the pager is off.
SETTING PAGER ALERT (Silent or Audible)
Press and hold button down for approximately 1 second. The
word "SILENT" or the word "AUDIBLE" will appear.
To change setting, release button while setting is displayed. A
"SILENT" alert will make the pager vibrate when a call
comes in; an "AUDIBLE" alert will make the pager beep
when a call comes in.
RECEIVING AND READING MESSAGES
When a page is received, the pager will alert for 8 seconds.
1. Press the button once to stop the alert
2. Press and release the button again to display the messages.
Messages that are more than 12 characters in length will continue
on a second screen (indicated by a an arrow in the lower right hand
corner). To get to the next screen, press the button once.
If a message is left unread, the pager emits a reminder alert every
2 minutes and the screen will display the number of unread messages
(e.g. 1 PAGE).
ERASING MESSAGES
Read messages are cleared when pager is turned off.
OVERFLOW
Up to ten 20-character messages can be stored in the pager.
After that, the word "OVERFLOW" will appear on the screen
to alert you that you have too many pages (read or unread) in memory.
If a new message comes in, the oldest message (read or unread) will
be erased from memory.
CHANGING THE BATTERY
Two AAA batteries are required for operation. When the battery
gets low, "LOW CELL" will display on your pager. It is
best to change your batteries every 4 - 6 weeks. Be aware that if
"LOW CELL" is displayed, you may be missing some of your
pages. To replace your batteries, unlock battery compartment door
(on back of pager attached to belt clip). Firmly slide battery door
off the back of the pager. When installing the batteries, be sure
to match the "+" on the battery with the "+"
markings inside the pager. When the batteries are properly installed,
replace the battery cover.
NOTE: Changing the battery erases all pages in memory! |
