ULTRA EXPRESS INSTRUCTIONS

Buttons
Read/Select Button: Far left Button
Mode Button: Center Button
Light/Reset Button: Far right Button

Turning Your Pager On and Off
Turn ON
Press the Read/Select Button to turn your pager on. An alert indicator in the upper left-hand corner indicates that the pager is on and ready to receive messages.

Turn OFF:
1. Press the Mode Button until "PAGER OFF?" is displayed
2. Press the Read/Select Button. (The time and date will still be displayed on your pager).

ULTRA EXPRESS INSTRUCTIONS
1. Press the Light/Reset Button at any time to turn the light on
2. Press the Light/Reset Button again while the clock or a message is displayed to turn the light off and return to the standby screen

Setting the Clock and Date:
Setting the clock:
1. Press the Mode Button until "SET TIME?" is displayed.
2. Press the Read/Select Button. The hour digits begin to flash.
3. Press the Mode Button repeatedly to the set the hour digits.
4. Press the Read/Select Button. The first digit minutes begins to flash.
5. Press the Mode Button repeatedly to set the minutes.
6. Press the Read/Select Button again to move to the next minutes digit.
7. Press the Read/Select Button. The A.M./P.M. starts flashing.
8. Repeat steps above to set your pager for A.M. and the 12/24-hour mode.
9. Press the Light/Reset Button twice or allow the screen to automatically return to the standby screen. The time and date are displayed.

Setting the Date:
1. Press the Mode Button until "SET DATE?" is displayed.
2. Press the Read/Select Button. The month digits begin to flash.
3. Press the Mode Button to change the month digits to the correct digits.
4. Press the Read/Select Button. The day digits begin to flash.
5. Press the Mode Button to change the day digits to the correct digits.
6. Press the Light/Reset Button twice or allow the pager to automatically return to the standby screen. The time and date are displayed.

Setting the Incoming Message Alert
You can set your pager to alert with either a pleasing (audible) alert or a vibrating (silent) alert
1. Press the Mode Button "SILENT?" or "AUDIO?" is displayed depending on which mode the pager is currently in. For the pager to vibrate, it must be in the "SILENT" mode.
2. To change the alert mode, press the Read/Select Button while your choice of alert mode is shown on the display.

Setting the Pleasing Alerts
One of four pleasing alerts or one standard alert. Your pager must be in audio mode.
1. Press the Mode Button until "SET ALERT?" is displayed.
2. Press the Read/Select Button. The current setting is displayed.
3. Press the Mode Button until your choice of ALERT 1, ALERT 2, ALERT 3, ALERT 4 or ALERT 5 is displayed.
4. Press the Light/Reset Button twice or allow the pager to automatically return to the standby screen.

Receiving and Reading Messages
When a message is received, the pager alerts for 8 seconds.
1. Press any Button to stop the alert.
2. Press the Read/Select Button to display the message.
3. Press the Light/Reset Button twice while the message is displayed to return to the main standby screen.
Unread messages will result in a reminder pager every 2 minutes, with the number of unread messages displayed on the screen.

Protecting and Un-protecting Your Messages
You can protect up to eight messages so they are not erased or replaced by new messages. The message you want to protect/un-protect must be displayed on the screen.
1. To protect the message, press and release the Mode Button while the message is displayed until "PROTECT?" is displayed.
2. Press the Read/Select Button
When reading a protected message, the protect symbol (padlock) is displayed in the upper portion of the screen.
1. To un-protect a message, press and release the Mode Button while the message is displayed until "UNPROTECT?" is displayed.
2. Press the Read/Select Button. The protect symbol is no longer displayed.

Deleting/Erasing Messages
Deleting individual Messages:
1. Press the Mode Button while the message is displayed until "dELETE?" is displayed with the scissors symbol.
2. Press the Read/Select Button. All remaining messages are moved to the next available message location

Erasing All Messages:
1. Press the Mode Button until "ERASE ALL?" is displayed.
2. Press the Read/Select Button. All read and unprotected messages are erased from pager memory.

Setting the Alarm
You can set your pager’s alarm to alert you at a certain time of day.
1. Press the Mode Button until "SET ALARM?" is displayed.
2. Press the Read/Select Button.
Follow instructions under "Setting the clock and date" to set the time for the alarm to sound.

Enable or Disable the Alarm:
1. Press the Mode Button until "SET ALARM?" is displayed.
2. Press the Read/Select Button until you get to the ON/Off field.
3. Press the Mode Button until your choice of "ON" or "OFF" is displayed.
When the alarm is enabled, a bell icon is displayed on the standby screen.

Automatic On and Off
You can set your pager to automatically turn on and off. This feature can greatly improve battery life.
To Enable:
1. Press the Mode Button until "PAGER AUTO?" is displayed.
2. Press the Read/Select Button. The current setting is displayed and a square icon will appear around the mode indicator.

To set the on/off time:
1. Press the Mode Button until "SET AUTO?" is displayed.
2. Press the Read/Select Button. The current setting is displayed and the "auto on" time hour digits flash.
Follow the instructions under "Setting the Clock and the Date" to set the "turn on" and "turn off" times. The left series of digits are the "turn on" time. The right series of digits are the "turn off" time.

NOTE: Only the "hour" can be selected and set for automatic on/off. When operating in the automatic on/off mode, the pager can still be manually turned on and off.

To Disable:
1. Press the Mode Button until "PGR MANUAL?" is displayed.
2. Press the Read/Select Button. The square icon around the indicator will disappear from the standby screen.
